The Classic Cardigan - 16th January 2020

The classic cardigan would look perfect with a Vintage dress or a pair of Jeans.  

Choose the short or long length, alter your pattern to fit and learn to work with knit fabrics on this one day workshop.

The pattern is included in the workshop price

What You Need To Bring : The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.

Materials Needed : For the short version you will need 1.75m of 150cm wide stable knit fabric, the samples in the picutres are made from 100% Merino Jersey Knit, ciotton lycra would also work well for a light weight cardigan, 20cm of woven fuisble interfacing, 70cm of 2cm wide grosgran ribbon (optional), 6 buttons & matching thread, for the longer version you will need 2m of 150cm wide fabric, 2 buttons & matching thread.

Bring along your own materials or purchase from Bloomsbury Square Fabrics which is next to the Sewing Room. If you are buying fabrics on the day please contact Victoria to make an appointment. Alternatively order fabric in advance,  have it sent to you or collect on the day of the class.
