The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to when ever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your porfolio then add to it on each workshop. Workshops In this series include, Zips, Sames and Hems, Pockets, Collars and Cuffs, Dressmaking Techniques, Advanced Dressmaking Techniques, Tailoring Techniques, Sewing Machine Feet.

Pressing is one of the most important parts of dressmaking and makes a real difference to the finish of your garment.  On this workshop you will learn about the tools that are available to help.  Having a collection of pressing cloths will be a be a useful addition to your kit and you will also learn about the different types and make your own pressing cloth wardrobe.

What You Need To Bring : The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
