Workshop News

We had such a lovely day for our Exhibition & Open Day, it was wonderful to see so many like minded people sharing sewing stories and appreciating all the hard work of the ladies who had completed The Dressmaker's Portfolio.  A big thank you to Sally, Harriet, Kim, Sue, Jane and Wendy for bringing your Handmade Collections and inspiring everyone - here are a few pictures from the day, including one of me being bossy

If you have been inspired by all this Sewing there are still a few spaces on August Workshops.  This weekend there is the popular Copy It, Make It workshop - bring along a garment you love and I will show you how to take a pattern from it without taking the garment apart!  If you hate putting in sleeves then All About Sleeves on Monday afternoon will be perfect for you.  There is one space on next weeks Sewing School where you can make a garment of your choice.  The following week you could make the perfect fitting Bra, an Outfit In A Day, which is a drape front top and a pull on skirt,  or a lovely Kimono Style Jacket using the Papercut Kochi Jacket pattern.  For more details click on the pictures below

In November we have our next Sewing Retreat - We will be heading to Devon to the lovely Dartington Hall where we will be setting up a Sewing Room in The Gatehouse.  Over three days of Sewing & Fun you will have the opportunity have dinner at Riverford Kitchen, take a trip to Stone Fabrics in Totnes for a bit of fabric shopping, then we plan to have dinner at the lovely Waterside Bistro.  If you would like to join us just click on the lovely picture of Dartington Hall below
